Greek pop singer. Born: 26 August 1943 in Alexandria, Egypt Died: 29 May 2022 in Athens, Greece Dakis arrived in Greece in 1963, and a year later, he began singing in clubs. His remarkable linguistic abilities allowed him to communicate in six languages: Greek, English, French, Italian, Spanish, and Arabic, which significantly contributed to his international repertoire. Throughout his illustrious career, Dakis recorded dozens of albums and singles in Greek, English, and French. Some of his early hits included French-language songs like "Monsieur Cannibal," "Tu Veux ou Tu Veux Pas," "Mourir ou Vivre," and "Gaston." His collaborations extended to top international performers and composers, such as the Rolling Stones, Milva, Charles Aznavour, Joe Dassin, Sacha Distel, and Demis Roussos. Beyond music, Dakis also appeared in theater plays, films, and TV shows in Greece, leaving an indelible mark on the entertainment industry.
