Coming from the ashes of PPF, a group formed at the end of 1981 and with only 1 concert to its credit (Ilioupoli, 1982), ANTI... presented their work for the first time in 1985 at music club Pigasos. The group consisted of Kostas Agelidis (vocals, keyboards, lyrics), Mimis Diplas (bass), Kostas Panagopoulos (keyboards) and a drum machine (which the band named Manolis). They took their name when Agelidis tried to write the name of Anti-Nowhere League in the back of his jacket, but he left no space for the other words except "ANTI".
Their first recorded appearence was on the Greek new wave compilation Συνταγή Αντί Θανάτου with the track "Σταμάτα Να Μιλάς Για Θάνατο". In the same year, they released an eponymous D.I.Y. cassette, which contained 10 songs, two inserts, and a piece of gum (!). The lyrics of the songs were centered around socio-political issues. The cover of the cassette was a collage created by Panagopoulos, using photocopies from magazines of the era.
On 1/2/1987 they performed live at Cat's Meaw Club (Athens) along with Panx Romana. In 1987 they released another independent tape titled Club Αχάριστα Παιδιά, which included the tracks "Εκπαιδευτικός Παροξυσμός" and "Αχάριστα Παιδιά".
In 1990, the first vinyl release of the band, a split album with [a631496] (Kinonika Apovlita), was released by Wipe Out! Records, titled Μουσικά ΑΝΤΙδοτα. The next year the band participated in the 7" compilation Fragmenta..., with the track "Νεκρή Πλειοψηφία". On 14/12/1991 they performed live at ΑΣΟΕΕ (Athens), along with 'Ναυτία', 'Πίσσα Και Πούπουλα' & 'Deus Ex Machina'.
The band later changed its name to ANTIaforest. Throughout the years they did many live shows together with well-known bands of the time, in venues such as Kyttaro, Skiahtro, Skylab, Doors in Ilioupoli etc. After their disbandment, Angelidis played in [a=Zart.R.S] and Diplas continued his teaching in schools (where he had been appointed to since 1984).
The trio got back together around 2011, and plays live on occasion since then.
