Although Samla Mammas Manna was formed as the trio of: Hollmer/Krantz/Bruniusson, they became best-known when joined by guitarist Coste Apetrea. In 1977, when Coste was replaced by the far more experimental Eino Haapala the style changed so much that the new name Zamla Mammaz Manna was chosen. This incarnation of the band existed for some 3 years or so, after which the band disintegrated with two members forming the new project Von Zamla.
