Sister of Karoline Kamosi
b. Manuela Barbra Moasco Kamosi, 26 January 1972, Zaire (nowadays Democratic Republic of the Congo). This rapper was originally introduced to UK audiences through her work with dance music act, Technotronic. She had moved to Belgium when she was 11 years old, then Chicago, Illinois, USA, where she was introduced to rap and deep house music. On her return to Belgium she teamed up with Jo Bogaert of Technotronic. Together they performed on 1989's international hit single, "Pump Up The Jam," though her contribution was un-credited.
She then appeared alongside professional and personal partner MC Eric on the breakthrough hit, "This Beat Is Technotronic." They teamed up again with Technotronic for "Get Up! (Before The Night Is Over)," which was another major international hit. Afterwards Kamosi appeared on Hi Tek 3"s "Spin That Wheel," in 1990, and contributed a song, "Awesome," to the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II," motion picture soundtrack.
The birth of a child then interrupted her plans and her projected solo career petered out with the release of an unsuccessful album, despite the inclusion of the US hit "Move This." She has performed the occasional guest vocal since then, including appearances with Technotronic on 1995's "Recall," and June 2000"s single, "The Mariachi."
In 2002, she released "Take A Trip," on Semini Records.
She is wife of Jonathan Kamosi, and is also co-producer of his songs.
