Franz Xaver Scharwenka (6 January 1850, Samter, Prussia (now Szamotuły, Poland) - 8 December 1924, Berlin, Germany) was a Polish-German pianist, composer and teacher. He is the brother of Philipp Scharwenka (1847–1917), who was also a composer and teacher of music.
