Wisdom In Chains was started with members from already existing American and European bands like Krutch, The Ninth Plague, Boxcutter, Out To Win (aka Mushmouth), Feeble, Daredevil and others in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, US. Due to the extreme distance between members at the beginning of the band and their signed contracts with other labels, Wisdom In Chains line up may change on albums. Later the band only consisted of members from USA/North America. Anyway their style stays combining killer street rock with heavy old school Hardcore and Oi punk influence. On July 2024 the band announced that they parted ways with longime vocalist Mad Joe due to various reasons and announced that Frankie Poupolo (of Death Before Dishonor) as the new frontman.
