White Heat was a Heavy Metal band from New Orleans, Louisiana. They originally formed as Onyx in the late 70s, and changed their name to White Heat in 1981 after recruiting new lead singer Jeff Hatrix. In 1984 he went on to relocate back to his hometown Cleveland, Ohio, and co-found Purgatory in 1984, his own band Hatrix in 1989, and the internationally known industrial/alternative band Mushroomhead in 1994.
