    Electronic ambient music from France.

    The First Years - Era I (2012-2018)

Weress was founded in 2012 by John Lordswood (then known as P.), initially focusing on electronic experimental demos and split releases within the Space Ambient subgenre. The project explored themes of the cosmic and the unknown, crafting dark soundscapes inspired by the vastness of space. These early works were primarily created using synthesizers, laying the foundation for Weress's evolving identity. Dreams and fantasy began to emerge as recurring themes during the years. The debut album Vision A Stars was released in 2016, followed by Création de l'Univers a year later.

Reign of the Stars - Era II (2019- )

The release of the demo The Dungeon On The Moon marked a turning point for Weress, introducing the first Dungeon Synth influences and unveiling his own universe « l’Univers des Songes ». This shift in style led to the release of the third album Au-Delà des Lieux Légendaires, released in 2022 under the artist’s label Ancient King Records.

In the winter of 2024, Weress unveiled its fourth album, Rêvasseries Chevaleresques, which stands as the John Lordswood’s most personal and introspective work to date. That same year, the first live shows in Europe starts with the support of two accompanying musicians. Together, the White King and his warriors brought the universe of Weress to life in another form, bridging dreams and reality through music and storytelling.
