Was (Not Was) is American dance pop/post disco band founded by David Weiss (a.k.a. David Was) and Don Fagenson (a.k.a. Don Was) in 1979 in Detroit, Michigan and disbanded in 1992. They reformed in 2004.
Was (Not Was) also participated in the Spirit Of The Forest project which released a [url=http://www.discogs.com/master/331260]charity single[/url] in support of the Earth Love Fund's campaign to help save rainforests.
