American rapper of Nigerian descent, born September 21st, 1984 in Northwest, Washington, D.C., United States of America. Both his parents were from the Yoruba ethnic group of southwestern Nigeria, and had moved to the U.S. from Austria in 1979. He was discovered by Mark Ronson after the success of his single "Dig Dug (Shake It)" in 2006.
