    Wade Schuman is the frontman, lead-singer, harmonicaplayer and lute- and steel-guitarist of Hazmat Modine. Besides musician, he is also a painter and teacher and lives in New York City. He grew up in Michigan and started playing the harmonica at the age of ten. His obsession with sound and music inspired him to start Hazmat Modine in 1998. His harmonica has been heard on many recordings, working with the throat songers of Tuva (Huun-Huur-Tu), Peter Stampfel and Natalie Merchant among others. He can be heard on the album "Relish" by Joan Osborne and "High, Wide and Handsome" by Loudon Wainwright III
