Vomit Orchestra

Vomit Orchestra formed in 2001 as a black metal-influenced industrial band. The albums branched out into a wide array of sounds, most being minimalistic, gloomy, and based around electric guitar. However, the cassette demo and EP releases retained more of the band’s initial raw sound. The band’s now-defunct Facebook page stated that they have never seen a complete list of Vomit Orchestra’s discography online, and that multiple unreleased albums existed but were scrapped. According to a 2015 interview in Santa Sangre magazine, there were Vomit Orchestra recordings released under the names “Nod” and “Dark Pestilence”, they only used live instruments including homemade analog synthesizers, and avoided computer production techniques. Vomit Orchestra referred to their music as “death ambient”.
