Vladimír Hirsch

Czech composer, instrumentalist and sound designer (*July 3rd, 1954, Benešov u Prahy, Czechoslovakia, today Czechia), working with modern classical, industrial and dark ambient music. Besides creating solo works (occasionally also as Subpop Squeeze), he is the founding member and leader of projects Aghiatrias, Skrol, [a=Zygote (2)], Tiria and Luminar Ax. His compositional style is characterized by polymodality and using various electronic and electroacoustic techniques to enhance sonic means of expression. Between 1986 and 1995, he was a member of experimental post-punk group [a=Der Marabu].
