Finnish DJ, Producer and Label manager Ville Lope has been at the forefront of electronic music for well over a decade. Having competently crafted his sound into both the Scandinavian and European clubbing scenes he is one of the renowned few who have striven to keep Finland’s intimate electronic music stature securely on the world map. With a passion for electronic music beginning during the mid 90’s, his thirst for hearing the latest tracks has firmly driven him into the world of DJ’ing. From analogue turntables to digital CDJ’s, his experience spans across the last decade with his DJ name moving from the unknown to the well known. From Helsinki to Rovaniemi, he’s DJ’ed at almost every major Finnish city delivering his unique progressive sound that countlessly ignites the dance floor! From the much deeper shades of progressive to the full-on melodic scorchers he is a talent who has graced the decks alongside numerous renowned international DJ’s. As an established producer he’s released well over 20 productions and remixes to world-famous labels such as Armada, Bonzai and Solaris. Since his first track “These Mellow Moments” back in 2008, his style and ability have rapidly matured to invite a barrage of signings from high calibre labels. Ville’s remixing abilities have also been called upon with top ranking producers DJ Tiesto, Airwave, Tasadi and more recently by the legendary UK progressive trio Tilt! If you can’t find him in the studio or behind the decks, you’ll find him managing numerous A&R projects. Initially working for the Finnish trance-progressive label ‘Finity’, his natural flair and keen ear for talent scouting became his clear asset. In early 2009 he was selectively approached by DJ/Producer Miika Kuisma who handed over the managerial role of the now Bonzai owned ‘Subtraxx’ label. Further to this, Subtraxx’s two sister labels ‘Nemesis’ and ‘Camouflage’ were also included in his A&R workload. Effectively running all three labels single-handedly, he’s signed fresh producer talents to the label roster, aided upcoming talents with his expertise in production and designed all promotional material needed for multiple promotional releases. Having experience in all aspects of the music industry his production success, A&R managerial work and consistent promotion has led to a huge increase in his DJ popularity. Respected across the Finnish electronic music scene his recognition has spread worldwide with his array of provocative and innovative releases. With this level of achievement and a growing interest for his remixing abilities all suggests that international bookings are on the horizon for 2011.
