Born February 27, 1923 in Červený Kostelec (former Czechoslovakia). Died September 28, 2006 in Prague Czech republic.

He left a legacy of 92 numbered musical works, including five symphonies, two violin concertos, other concertos for cello, for piano, for trumpet, and for harpsichord, seven string quartets, other chamber music pieces, works for solo piano and harpsichord, vocal works, and one ballet.
Was married with Zuzana Růžičková, to whom he wrote some keyboard pieces.
