They have moved slowly away from a more traditional "band" format towards more electronic influences in their songwriting. [i]Velure's sound blends trip hop, dub and drum and bass flavours through the use of synthetic and organic elements.[/i] They've been recognized with awards, including: Australian Fringe Festival award for electronic composition in 2003 and a touring grant from the Australian Council for the Arts for their tour of the East Coast September and October 2004. October 2005 saw the release of their debut album, [i]Care For Fading Embers[/i]
