Even before releasing her first album, Vanessa had already composed for the likes of popular and well stabilished Brazilian artists, such as Maria Bethânia and Daniela Mercury. Her first boom happened in the realease of "Não me deixe só", which became known in wide audiences after receiving a drum n' bass version by DJ Ramilson Maia. Later on, "Ai, ai, ai..." also hit the Brazilian radio charts after being included on a famous soap opera soundtrack.
