The group is the brain-child of pianist / keyboardist / producer John Smatla, who utilizes an all-star cast of musicians (all with strong connections to New York City) to create a sophisticated and evocative sonic experience. This is smooth jazz with a New York attitude. It's a blend of Soul, R & B, Jazz and “Chill” with percussion-rich, contemporary grooves and world rhythms.
