    Japanese percussionist and drummer, born in Tokyo in 1950.

    Was a founder member of the ur-punk group [a=Zuno Keisatsu] in 1969.
    Has released several albums both solo and with his group Cinorama. In addition Toshi has also had long collaborative relationships with Kan Mikami, Kazuki Tomokawa, Kenji Endo and the performance-poet Yasuki Fukushima.
    He is currently a member of the groups Vajra (with Keiji Haino and Kan Mikami), and Sanjah (with Mikami and Masayoshi Urabe).
