French Reggae singer. Born: 12 October 1967 on Réunion Island. Died: 16 February 2021 in Nancy, France. Raised in Paris, Tonton David was renowned for his ragamuffin performances, but also used influences of soul music, gro kâ (from the French West Indies) and Zairean rumba. His father was the Reunionese singer [a2922128].
