Tommy Wåhlberg

Swedish guitarist and songwriter, born on November 13, 1946 in Jukkasjärvi, Kiruna, Lappland and died on April 13, 2023 in Tyresö, Södermanland. Wåhlberg was the last remaining, original member of the Swedish pop group 'The [a=Shanes]', co-founded by him in Tuolluvaara in the early 1960s. During the 1960s, 'The [a=Shanes]' was one of the more popular groups within its native country and would later also, both in 1982 and 1992, compete in [b]Melodifestivalen[/b], the Swedish competition for selecting a candidate to represent Sweden in the [b]ESC[/b] (the Eurovision Song Contest), in that same year.
