English band from Newcastle, England, founded in 1968 until 1971 when the group was disbanded. The band was named after a 1950's children's book character who happened to be a pig. Dave Holland left the band in late 1969 and was replaced by Steve Pickering who had established a reputation in the North West under the name Reg James They released only three 45 RPM singles. Line-up: David Holland - vocals Barry Sewell - organ Nick Thorburn - guitar Stuart Sommerville - bass John Reed - drums (replaced Richie MacConnell) Steve Pickering - vocals (replaced David Holland) Dave Robson (bass) replaced Stuart Somerville who died in a canoeing accident off Tynemouth
