Swedish songwriter and keyboardist, born on October 25, 1955 in Brännkyrka kyrkobokföringsdistrikt, Stockholm, Södermanland and died on December 16, 2023 in Gustavsberg-Ingarö, Värmdö, Uppland.
Norell started his career by co-founding the Swedish group Secret Service, together with Ola Håkansson and Ulf Wahlberg, where he wrote international hits such as "Oh Susie", which topped the charts in 29 countries, "Ten O'clock Postman" and "Flash In The Night".
After Secret Service, he continued as one of the members of the songwriting trio Norell-Oson-Bard. Tim Norell wrote the music and Ola Håkansson, usually with Alexander Bard, wrote lyrics to his melodies.
During the 1980s and 1990s, Tim was behind a long series of hits performed by some of the biggest Swedish artists of the time. Some examples of the music he wrote include "Dansa i neon" with Lena Philipsson, "Allt som jag känner" with Tommy Nilsson & Tone Norum, "Give My Life" with Army Of Lovers, "It Started with a Love Affair" with Jerry Williams, and "Jeannie's Coming Home" with The Boppers.
Tim Norell died after a long battle with a serious illness. He was 68.
