Swedish fiddler, born 18 May 1967
She is the fourth generation "riksspelman" and a member of the fiddler family Härdelin with roots in Delsbo in Hälsingland. She is the daughter of Thore Härdelin (d.y.) and the sister of Emma Härdelin.
Härdelin played from the mid-1980s until the early 1990s in the Norwegian group Dalakopa and toured during the same period with her father, the fiddler Thore Härdelin, with whom she also released the album Thore and Thuva Härdelin (Amigo) in 1991. During the latter part of the 1990s, she toured with concert guitarist Bengt Lundquist and participated as a musician in several theater performances, including Stjärnspelet directed by Peter Oskarsson and with a script by Jan Mark, Lagt spår ligger which was played along the Inlandsbanan and later as an employed theater musician at New Skåne Theater in Landskrona.
Thuva Härdelin appeared on Åsa Jinder's records Folkmusik in Swedish and Tro, hop och kärlek, both of which sold gold. Since moving to Malmö in 2001, she has mainly collaborated with accordionist Lelo Nika, with whom she toured and recorded records and started the record company Arecords together. Currently up to date with projects such as Klangkartoteket and a Spelmansorkesterprojekt, in Balkan style and Svensk style together with Nika.
She is the project manager for the traditional Delsbostämman (founded 1952).
