French New Wave - THERESE RACKET started in 1983, creating poetic and strange atmospheres of the low and sensual voice of the singer Badou Ortega Spotted in 1985 at the Printemps de Bourges, the group gets enthusiastic criticism from professionals. THERESE RACKET recorded a first 'Eurockéenne' song at the Maison de la Culture de Bourges; then his first single 'Rebelle' in 1986, followed by the 1st album Survie (1987) produced by Radio France, from which their second 'Mau Mau' single will be extracted. French New wave - From the stage performance of the singer, a solid reputation is forged among the public. At the invitation of the Sacem, the group performs at the Palace; then skims the halls and festivals (the Elysée Montmartre, The Bikini, the Ubu in Rennes), sharing the stage with Xymox, Legendary Pink Dots, Sugarcubes (1st group of Bjork); THERESE RACKET also plays in Barcelona, and did a series of concerts in Austria in 1987. The band stopped in 1990 following the illness of one of the musicians, co-composer of the group. The compilation album TRACES DE L'ORTIE (2009) released on the Infrastition label combines the original recordings published on vinyl at the time, with a few reviews by Catalan Manuel Perez and mixed by Raph Dumas, whose title 'Irina', the first recording of JULIE CONSTANTINE, a duo formed in 2011 by the singer and guitarist.
