Garage Rock outfit from Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. The group released their legendary single "Wasted / Trackin'" in 1961 on Cuca. Despite undergoing major lineup changes throughout the band's tenure, they still managed to stick around through the 80's. The only consistent member was drummer Gerry Irwin. Along the way, they released their only album "The Sounds of Zakons 73'". The album was a blending of Lounge, Soul, and Garage Rock. The Zakons also released "Dollar To My Name / Dreamland USA" in 1980, their last released effort.
