The Suburbs are an alternative rock and roll/funk/new wave band that (true to their name) came out of the western suburbs of Minneapolis, Minnesota. The band formed in 1977, broke up in 1987, reunited periodically throughout the 90s & 00s for live shows in the Twin Cities area, and finally reunited for good in 2013 with the release of Si Sauvage.
