The Songstress

About

Nina Simone alias used for a remix of See-Line Woman.

New York house producers Jerome Sydenham And Kerri Chandler did not have permission to use the vocal when the track was created.
The version proved popular, however, and was subsequently cleared, licensed to UK label Locked On and went on to inspire another rework from Masters At Work (See-Line Woman).
The track was credited to Simone on the promo CD version of Jerome Sydenham and Kerri Chandler's album Saturday and on a later 12" reissue (Bolshevik Remix EP).
