The Ska-Dows were formed in late 1978 by vocalist Tony Sybthorpe and saxophone player Andy Dummett. They met up with Bev Doyle, Step Morley and John Basset (who moved to drums) from Animal Kwackers. Tony reformed the band in the 90's with Andy.
