New wave group from Athens, Greece. Formed in the early '80s, by Paraskevas (Voulis) Karamikes (guitar), Chrisostomos (Makis) Mouratoglou (synthesizers), Solon (Akis) Stathopoulos (bass), George Roumanis (drums).
They initially went under the name Κηφήνες (Kifines), and after the addition of vocalist Costas Pothulakis (ex Παρθενογένεσις), they changed their name to The Reporters. The band released a 7" single and an album, and split up just a year and a half after their first appearance. Two members had to leave for their (mandatory) military service, and one went abroad to study.
Pothulakis had already formed Villa 21 with his wife Adda Labara in 1981, with Stathopoulos contributing bass to their first 7" single, "I See No !". In 1989, Mouratoglou and Roumanis also contributed to the Sharp Ties album, "Positive".
