The Raves

About

Band from New York City, founded in 1964 by Mike and Dave Jimenez. Manny Roth booked them as a regular act at his legendary Café Wha on MacDougal Street and Minetta Lane in the Greenwich Village where they built quite a fanbase. After their three singles failed to hit, the band parted. The band still exists today with a different lineup, without Dave Jimenez. Their producer in the 1960s was Ron Haffkine.
