The Pussywillows were a New York, USA band formed in 1987 by Elinor Blake, aka April March, with two friends Lisa Jenio and Lisa Dembling. They released one 7 song EP on Telstar records called Spring Fever!. They also recorded a memorable song called "Vindaloo" which is featured in the movie "Kill the Moonlight". Musically the band harkened back to 60's girl groups like The Shangri-Las and The Ronettes while featuring a garage rock backing, similar to 90's Medway girl group Thee Headcoatees. During their time together they performed with acts as diverse as Bongwater and Ronnie Spector. They split up in 1991.
