The Masochist is a hardcore producing & live act project founded by Dov Elkabas (The Prophet) in 1997.
Within this project Dov produced a slower and darker kind of hardcore than with his Prophet alias. He produced Masochist releases very regularly until 2001, and more occasionally since then, being mainly focused on hardstyle.
The associated masochism-themed live act was first performed by Dov himself for a few gigs, then Rob Stigter (DJ Rosti) became the regular performer. He was replaced in 2003 by Jochem Middelveld (Damage) and since 2015 it is [a=726416]
