The Lonesome Drifter

American rockabilly and country musician, born on Dec. 6, 1931, in Bastrop, Louisiana, Johnson was not a professional musician and worked in the steel business as an erector and welder. This took him as far away as Chicago and Kansas City. Today, Johnson lives quietly in Monroe, where he owns a small recording studio in which he records artists in the gospel music field.

Still singing and performing for his family on holidays, aged 88 (Sept. 1, 2020), something many of his peers cannot compete with. Known for his distinct guitar playing ability. Also known as one of the creators of one of the most expensive rockabilly records ever sold, his single. "[r9195996]." A copy in good condition sold for $5,000, only surpassed by Orangie Ray Hubbard's [r8738271], going for more at $6,000 in good condition, of course.
