Pop punk band led by singer Jack Grisham (ex-T.S.O.L., Cathedral of Tears, and Tender Fury), formed in 1995 with bassist Billy Persons (ex-The Weirdos), drummer Chris Lagerborg (ex-Cadillac Tramps), and keyboardist Ronnie King. They released three albums on Epitaph Records in the mid-1990s. The Joykiller (1995) featured former T.S.O.L. guitarist Ron Emory. By Static (1996) guitarist Sean Greaves (ex-Floorlords) had joined the band, and by Three (1997) Lagerborg was replaced by Billy Blaze Price. The Joykiller disbanded the following year when Grisham reunited with the other original members of T.S.O.L. to relaunch that band. In 2003 Epitaph released the anthology Ready, Sexed, Go!, compiling tracks from all three studio albums along with previously unreleased material recorded with other musicians and not originally intended to be released under The Joykiller name. In 2014 Grisham came upon a box of promising Joykiller demos and revived the group with Persons, King, Greaves, and drummer Matthew Rainwater to record the crowdfunded album Music For Break-Ups (2015).
