The Forces of Evil was a ska band begun in 2001 as a side-project or supergroup, comprising members of Reel Big Fish, Jeffries Fan Club, Lone Raspberry and The Scholars. All the band members adopted "evil" personas for their work in The Forces of Evil. The group disbanded in 2005 and posted an obituary on their website in the form of an EP compiled of unreleased songs from a planned second album.
Aaron Barrett (Aaron Evil) later remarked that he had feared Reel Big Fish was coming to an end, so started The Forces of Evil as a backup plan. Two members of The Forces of Evil, John Christianson (John Evil) and Derek Gibbs (Derek Evil) went on to join Reel Big Fish.
