The Fabulous Inkspots

Canadian-based spin off from [a=The Ink Spots] led by [a=Ray Richardson (2)], active since the early 1970s. Also known as [b] The Canadian Inkspots [/b]and[b] Ray Richardson's Fabulous Inskpots [/b]. [a=Ray Richardson (2)] joined [a=Charlie Fuqua]'s Ink Spots in 1961 and became leader after Fuqua's death in 1971. Richardson registered a Canadian trademark for the group and based it out of Toronto. [a=Lorenzo Conyers] had joined [a=Deek Watson]'s Ink Spots in 1954, and then joined Fuqua's Ink Spots in 1965. [a=Bernie Mackey] was a member of the original Ink Spots, having joined in 1943.
