Rock band from New York City originally called "Manitoba" featuring three former members of The Dictators (Handsome Dick Manitoba, [a=J.P. "Thunderbolt" Patterson] and Ross Friedman). In 2013 they changed their name to "The Dictators", but due to a legal dispute with former band members over ownership of the name, they changed their name to "The Dictators NYC" in an effort to distinguish themselves from the original The Dictators. They released one 7" under the name in 2015 before announcing on their website on July 10, 2017 that they were changing their name to "Manitoba NYC".
