The Deep

Short-lived American garage/psychedelic rock project of Marcus Uzilevsky aka Rusty Evans, made up of musicians from New York City. They recorded their lone album in Philadelphia in four days in 1966 with producer Mark Barkan. The band was one of the earliest groups to call their music psychedelic before the phrase "psychedelic rock" was adapted by a wider array of musical acts.

The band continued as The Freak Scene.
