    The Consequence

Started in 2002 by high school friends JP Makhlouf, Sam Frisch, Mike Diroma & Jeff Sayers as a pop punk band and found their way to a more alternative rock sound with time. Aside from their use of 3 part harmony, one other important aspect of the band that made them stand out was that they recorded, produced, and engineered their own music in JP's basement studio. They released their first 5 song EP "Your Own Place" in Summer of 2003. After spending the next couple years playing shows tryin finding their sound, they hit the studio again and released their Self - Titled LP in 2005. The next year they went through a lot of band members but still found time to record and self release their second EP "By the Bedside." They followed the release by playing out live as much as they could given some of the new members were still in highschool. TC then sold over 1,000 copies of their EP independantly and started a solid buzz in the tristate area. The band had a revolving door for most of it's existence. Some might have even said the band was very similar to the hit TV show survivor! You didn't know who was next to go! They went through multiple drummers, keyboardists, guitarists and members rotating instruments to keep the fire going. The last 2 years they continued the band with JP's brother Alex playin keyboards and Anthony Villacari on drums. The band eventually went through enough member changes where it didn't make any sense to keep trucking with the name The Consequence. That along with other legal issues led them to change their name to Cash Cash in March 2008.
