The Black Panties formed in the early 2000’s in Seattle. After some basement jam sessions, gigs quickly followed supporting X, Mudhoney, The Dirtbombs and The Black Keys among others. The band recorded 8 songs at Chroma Sound in 2003 with producer Kurt Bloch but only one ever saw the light of day, a rocking version of “Rotation” by The Young Fresh Fellows for a tribute record. After guitarist Andrew took a job he couldn’t refuse in the Presidents of the USA the band lost momentum and called it a day in 2004.
