Kane & Abel

Kane & Abel is a hip hop duo formed by twin brothers Daniel and David Garcia. Of mixed African-American and Puerto Rican descent, the Garcia brothers were born in the Bronx, and moved to Spring Hill, Florida with their older brother where they lived with their grandparents. The brothers later moved to New Orleans. There, they attended Xavier University, majoring in Mass Communications. Going under the group name [a1220067] and under the management of Luther Speight, the brothers were signed by Master P to [l=No Limit Records].

Due to becoming involved with the business of New Orleans coke dealer Richard "The Plug" Pena, they were arraigned on criminal charges in early 1999, and the court system attempted to use the brothers to put dirt on Master P & No Limit Records, which the brothers did all they can to resist this perversion of truth/justice. As such, Master P released the twins from his label to help avoid this, in an amicable fashion. Their release was followed soon after by Steady Mobb'n leaving due to legal issues as well, and preceded the departure of Beats By The Pound, Fiend, Mr. Serv-On, Big Ed & Full Blooded by a few months.

Currently, the twin brothers have been working for many years as directors/senior roles in the film industry.
