Released at least one 7" under the name "The Air-Dales" on [l=Roulette], but mainly collaborations with vocalist [a=Rocky Roberts] as [a=Rocky Roberts & The Airedales]. Band bassist [a=Wess Johnson] took over as vocalist in 1967 when Roberts left: see [a=Wess & The Airedales]. Although an American band, the group was primarily famous in France and Italy, where members were stationed while in the military. They inherited their name from their producer's defunct band [a=Doug Fowlkes And The Airdales].
