Emo/post-hardcore band from New York City, USA. Formed in 1994 by Norman Brannon aka Norm Arenas (guitarist from Shelter and 108) and drummer Chris Daly (from 108 and Ressurection), Texas Is The Reason took its name from the Misfits' song "Bullet". The group disbanded in 1997, briefly reformed in 2006 and 2012-2013.

Band members would go on to form Jets To Brazil (with members from Jawbreaker or Lifetime), New End Original (with members of Far and Chamberlain) or Solea (with Samiam members).
