Terry McManus was a transplanted Brit who has called Canada home since the late 1960s. Previously an audio engineer for Merv Buchanan's Trend Records, McManus began recording his own songs for A & M Records beginning with the single "Sunshower (In The Spring)" in 1971. Half a dozen singles followed on A & M before switching to Century II Records under the name Skipper for several releases. McManus returned to producing - including a series of albums for Canadian children's entertainer Mr. Dressup (real name Ernie Coombs) before settling into a career as a teacher at Fanshawe College in London, Ontario. His most recent work has been managing Canadian band The Birthday Massacre, but he died in 2021.
