    Temperance

Temperance, based in Toronto, started out as a solo techno project by founder Mark Ryan (born H.A. Der Hovagimian) in 1990. Mark's school-mate Lorraine Reid joined in on vocals in 1992, and by 1994 the group transformed into an Eurodance project with the debut hit single "Music Is My Life". The song won numerous awards; topped countless national charts; and Temperance quickly became one of the top dance music groups in the country.

The full length album "Virtues Of Life" was released in 1995, followed by a number of hit singles/videos. The group performed extensively not only throughout Canada, but across Europe, North America, Asia and parts of Africa, garnering multiple Juno nominations and Canadian video awards along the way.
Mark Ryan departed from Temperance in 1997 to pursue producing and remixing various local and international artists. His position as music producer was replaced by Hi-Bias Records Inc. founder and producer Nick Fiorucci in late 1997.
Temperance's sophomore album "If You Don't Know" was released in 1999.
