Spanish group from Cordoba leaded by Álvaro Muñoz. Early lineup: Álvaro Muñoz (vocals, guitar), Charly de la Mata (guitar) from [a1858651] and Antonio Almagro (bass), Francisco "Paco" Estrada (drums) from Línea Gótica. After recording a first demo, they won the 1986 edition of the Alcazaba Rock competition. Thanks to this, some of their songs were published on an album recorded live during the final of the contest and shared with two other contest participants: La Reserva and Direction Prohibida. After the release of the first album Álvaro prepared together with Pepe Atance (ex-La Reserva) a demo with new songs that were presented live at the Gran Teatro de Córdoba. But soon the group announced its dissolution and Álvaro ended up in London, where he spent a long time studying Music and Technology. Upon his return, he published his second album in 1997, "On The Radio", an album recorded between London and Madrid and which contained songs sung in English. Except for Álvaro, none of the original members of the group participated in this new work. Again a few years have to pass until the next work by Tarik and La Fábrica de Colores. It wasn't until October 2005 when Mushroom Pillow released their third album, "Sequentialee." The group Limousine, Javier from Jubilee and Eric from Los Planetas collaborated on it. In "Sequentialee" there are both songs sung in English and Spanish. For their next album they only had to wait two years. On October 29, 2007, Mushroom Pillow published "El bone y La Carne" featured the collaboration of some members of Los Planetas: Banin on Hammond organ and Eric on drums. 2006-2008 lineup: Eric Jiménez (drums from Los Planetas), Paco Lamato (guitar), María del Mar Merino (keybords), Miguel Martín (bass). Also collaborations on recording: Banin Fraile (Los Planetas), Manolo Gordillo, Paco Beamuz, Dani Torrejimeno and Gabriel Soriano (Limousine), Clara Martínez (Underwater Tea Party) or Javi Cantudo (Whitechapel).
