Canton, Ohio-bred and Brooklyn-based alternative-r&b artist Tangina Stone has been championed as a universal breath of fresh air with a purity in her sound and vulnerability in her lyrics that transcends the music scene. Garnering praise globally with features on The FADER, Pigeons & Planes, Popdust, Noisey – Poland, Galore Magazine, AXS, CBC Radio Canada and more, her music can also be heard in nationally syndicated television shows on VH1 and TV One, and she has graced stages from her home base in Brooklyn, New York, Los Angeles, California to Toronto, Ontario; generating acclaimed performances and fortifying a strong following across the country and abroad. Two years in the making, she recently released her debut album Elevate on September 22nd on female fronted and owned indie label IMG Records. The album debuted on the Top 200 R&B/Soul albums chart on iTunes, peaking at #27. Combining elements of soul, rock, electronic and r&b, Elevate is an intimate journey of Stone’s evolution as a woman and artist, complemented by a stellar team of collaborators consisting of Crystal Caines, WOLFGVNG, NOKTURN and Fouché, award winning saxophonist Kenneth Whalum, Eddie Vanz, Liana Banks and the incomparable Nelly Furtado.
