    SWR Sinfonieorchester Baden-Baden Und Freiburg

    German radio orchestra affiliated with the Southwest German broadcaster Südwestrundfunk (SWR) and located in Baden-Baden and the Konzerthaus Freiburg. It was founded in 1946 and was officially named Südwestfunkorchester Baden-Baden between 1948 and 1966 and Sinfonieorchester Des Südwestfunks between 1966 and 1998. Chief conductors: Michael Gielen, Sylvain Cambreling and François-Xavier Roth.

    In 2016/17 the orchestra was merged with the Radio-Sinfonieorchester Stuttgart to form the SWR Symphonieorchester.
