Suzan Nozaki / Susan is a Japanese-American singer and actress based in Japan. Debuting in 1970 while a young teenager she became a TV and radio personality in Japan also performing leading roles in stage musicals and plays. Throughout the 1970s and 1980s Susan's speaking and singing voice was used in TV and radio commercials. In 1980 Susan was signed by Sony and recorded two albums with Yukihiro Takahashi and an all-star cast from the Japanese Technopop scene of the time. In February 1982 Susan's debut promotional visit to the UK and Europe was postponed following the outbreak of the Falklands War. Marriage and motherhood followed and Susan's performing career was put on hold, aside from voiceover and session singing work which continued. In 2005 - 2006 Susan returned to promote "The Complete Susan" and performed concerts in partnership with members of Soft Ballet as well as support from Yukihiro Takahashi and Masami Tsuchiya, collaboarators on the original albums.
